Life Cycle is a charity that believes cycling can help improve individual lives, local communities and the environment.
They run a project called ‘Bike Minded’ which aims to use cycling as part of looking after our well-being. As part of this, we run free regular group cycle rides, the opportunity to buy a low cost bike and free cycle training to improve confidence. It is particularly aimed at people who have never had the opportunity to ride a bike and would like extra support.
We run rides from Central and East Bristol, and also looking to increase our outreach and make links in Southmead/Filwood and organise some group cycle rides and opportunities for people to get involved in these areas.
I thought you might be interested to know a bit about Bike Minded as part of sign-posting towards health and social well-being services and networks. I’ve attached a poster and our current group ride schedule along with some more info below.

If you would like us to send leaflets and posters to distribute, are holding any events that you think would be suitable for us to come along to promote Bike Minded (either a stall, or possibly a Dr Bike or 1:1 cycle skills), we would love to be involved. Likewise, if you work with groups that you think would benefit from getting involved, it would be great to meet to discuss further.
If you would like to receive our 3 monthly ride schedule, let me know and I’ll add you to our mailing list.
