Survey – Women’s Health and Equality Forum

WORK IN HOUSING OR HOMELESSNESS?
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!

 WHEC is researching how homelessness impacts on women and their health, especially on their mental health. We are researching this subject in our capacity as a member of the Health and Care Voluntary Sector Strategic Partner Programme: Working together for better health and care. The Programme brings the power of the voluntary sector together with the health system (Department of Health, NHS England and Public Health England).

We are particularly interested in:

•         Understanding health outcomes for women experiencing homelessness, particularly those with complex needs

•          The interrelationship between circumstances and policies (welfare/health/tackling violence and abuse) and the need for safe and appropriate accommodation and housing with integrated support and care where necessary;

•          Providing information and understanding about ways to tackle health inequalities for women with complex needs/ protected characteristics which benefit women overall while also providing savings in the housing/homelessness and health sector;

•          Providing a greater understanding for commissioners regarding the range of services available from the specialist women’s sector in relation to health, housing and homelessness, particularly for women with complex needs.

To that end, WHEC would be grateful if you could complete this questionnaire by 24 February 2017 (it should only take 10 minutes).
