Information from BANES Carers Centre
The Coronavirus outbreak creates a worrying and challenging time for unpaid carers and I wanted to update you on what we are doing at Bath and North East Somerset Carers’ Centre to provide support through this period.
From Monday 23 March, we will begin extending the times our Carers’ Support Line is open. We know that sometimes, having someone to talk to can make a big difference. So for carers who need information, advice or just to talk we can be contacted on 0800 0388 885 between 8.15am – 3pm each weekday.
Or by email at support@banescarerscentre.org.uk.
We are a small team and have some IT issues to get around, so please bear with us. We will respond as soon as possible.
We are adding new information to our website including Frequently Asked Questions and a Coronavirus Support Plan tool, packed full of trusted advice and resources to help carers manage isolation and maintain their wellbeing during this period.
In line with national and local advice we have suspended all Carer Cafes, groups and face-to-face activity for the time being.
Over the coming weeks we will develop new and alternative ways to help keep carers connected. We will send you details as soon as we have them.
