We think people’s experiences hold power. Working with communities of interest and those who are not always heard from within system change, TCF work tirelessly to ensure that we challenge inequalities through inclusive practice.
This page demonstrates at both a system and place-based level our engagement, insight and person-centred approach helps shape what services deliver and how systems can support lived experience. Our approach towards co-production is one of being;
- Open to listening to peoples experience
- Valuing different perspectives
- Creating something new using everyone’s insight
- Placing trust and value in those who have lived experience
What people have said about our approach towards co-production and their involvement in our projects:
I thought it was a very enjoyable and informative experience (2021)
This was my first time involvement in expert citizens programme. I have learnt a lot like the main structure of work and how different organisations performing their work for the community. Meetings with senior members can be helpful for further improvement (2021)
What’s been really useful is some of the initiatives that come out of the CCG, that the network can then disseminate that information or have more of a group meeting about that or workshops – they’ve been really really useful to me
The work conducted by the Care Forum has directly influenced the development of CQC’s new approach (CQC 2023)
