Health Integration Teams (HITs) bring together practitioners,
managers, commissioners, researchers, service users and the public to tackle
local priorities.
The ACE HIT will be:
- raising awareness and understanding about ACEs
- contributing to the developing evidence base on ACEs
- developing policy and practice approaches to prevent ACEs and mitigate their impacts
- building a ‘case for change’ which will set out how we can work differently together so that we can prevent ACEs and improve health and wellbeing.
The HIT will be organised through five workstreams which will be engaging with communities and research, and ensuring our learning feeds into practice at pace:
- Research and Evaluation
- Knowledge and Skills
- Education (i.e. nurseries, schools and academies)
- Strategic Planning and Commissioning
- Communication and Knowledge Transfer
The ACE HIT is an ambitious collaboration that will develop and share useful information and research about ACEs as well as best practice and resources.
