The NHS and Local Councils in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire jointly commission a service to provide equipment to local residents to support independent living. This includes items such as specialist beds, chairs, walking aids, moving and handling equipment. The service is available to children and adults who have been assessed by a health or social care professional and who need equipment to enable them to live safely at home.
