Would you like to start off the New Year by learning a new skill?
Community Learning are offering a variety of short courses for adults living in North Somerset (minimum age 19) to help build skills and confidence for work, volunteering and wellbeing.
The following courses start next week – Becoming a Novelist, Business Skills (Basic IT), Office Skills (intermediate IT), ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), Art and Jewellery Making, and Confidence for Employment.
From mid-January into February they offer two British Sign language courses, and two Driving Theory courses – with a choice of classroom based learning or learning at home via Zoom. There are also Aromatherapy and Mosaic Making courses starting in early February.
At the end of January we are offering an accredited course called Prepare to Work in Adult Social Care. The course is designed to help participants understand the sector, identify and develop their skills, and improve their chances of achieving an interview and a job offer with a Care provider. A representative from the company Access Your Care will visit to discuss opportunities they have available and how to apply.
