Consultation Topic: Local highways and transportation projects
Concerns were raised by the Local Member, Parish Council and local residents about vehicle speeds within the Ram Hill area. It is a rural lane with no footway for pedestrians and is popular with walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The road is a bus route for a rural bus service and is used to access a small business park within the lane. Located in Serridge Lane is a nursery school and Paul’s Place.
The purpose of the scheme is to reduce traffic speeds in Ram Hill, Broad Lane and Serridge Lane, which will improve road safety for vulnerable road users as well as making walking and cycling more attractive.
The proposed scheme is to reduce the speed limit from 30 mph to 20 mph
The following roads are affected by this scheme:
- Ram Hill
- Broad Lane
- Serridge Lane
