Stoke Park consultation on future plans

Bristol City Council wrote:

‘We are consulting on a long term plan for Stoke Park, to protect its important historic and ecological features as well as providing opportunities for people to enjoy the parkland. The development of a Conservation Management Plan on which many of the proposals are based has been supported by Historic England.

The consultation will help the council submit bids for funding to avoid using core council budgets including a £3 million bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund. This will be used alongside a Dowry which can only be used to fund work and activities associated with Stoke Park, as well as continuing to work withHistoric England, the local community, Friends group, and outdoor learning programme to bring the park to life.

The consultation opens on 9 January and runs until 20 February 2017.
