What you need to do now
At this stage I have been asked to seek interest before the funding is released.
If you would like to be considered for this opportunity can you please return the attached expression of interest application form without delay. Please ensure you have approval from your line manager before applying.
If any manager is aware that a member of their team would definitely be interested but is on holiday can they please let me know (it should have come up in your structured discussions).
Applications to express interest should be sent to me asap so that applicants can be considered in good time, by the 28th July 2017.
Process
Once the funding for the OU place has been released, DMT will look at all the Bristol applicants expressing an interest and decide who to put forward. I will then contact all applicants who have expressed an interest to provide feedback.
Further information
It is hoped that people completing the course will go on to progress to Practitioner Registration. If you would like to learn more about this do not hesitate to contact me.
I also attach the links below to the open learn courses provided by the Open University. These are free distance learning courses that you may wish to share with colleagues across your organisations, and may also provideĀ a taster for those nominated for the Certificate in Promoting Public Health, particularly if they are unsure whether to commit to a 60 credit module. Each link provides 5-6 hours CPD with an opportunity to print a certificate at the end.
