This free event is aimed at smaller charities in the Bath and North East Somerset area who would like support with developing their vision. The day will be delivered by Bath-based organisational development experts FreeRiver Consulting, working alongside the local Business Connector, Children and Young Peoples Network Coordinator and the Volunteer Centre for Bath & North East Somerset.
This day is designed for key decision-makers within local charities who are responsible for setting and reviewing the organisation’s strategy. Places will be limited, and a maximum of two individuals from each charity may attend. Refreshments will be provided and attendees will be responsible for providing their own lunch.
Attendees will leave the day with a clearer strategy for the next five years, alongside concrete actions to put in place to work towards their wider vision. The morning session will explore the potential tensions between a charity’s purpose, its strategy and the requirements of its funders. The afternoon session will then go on to explore a range of scenarios impacting upon the organisation’s wider vision. Please note this is very much a practical day as opposed to a networking event – although naturally connections with other organisations will also result.
